Active Hope: How to Face the Mess We’re in Without Going Crazy

Event Date: December 06, 2014

Dec 6 & 7 at The Living Centre

This workshop is designed to help us in this time of planetary emergency and the resulting overwhelm and despair that many of us feel. Join us for a weekend of dialogue and experiential exercises based on The Work that Reconnects, the teachings and practices first developed by eco-philosopher Joanna Macy and colleagues in 1978.

The goals of this work are to:

  • Provide experiences and methods that awaken the truth of our interconnectedness
  • Reframe and experience our pain for our present global condition in ways that empower us to take part in its healing
  • Realize that we are fully capable of meeting the challenging before us in generative and joyful ways
  • Bring people into mutual support and collaboration in working for the world
