Volunteer

Volunteering is a concrete way for each of us to take action on improving the health of the environment. Volunteering has been described as the most fundamental act of citizenship and philanthropy in our society. It is offering time, energy and skills with no expectations of monetary reward. Environmental volunteers work to improve the health of the planet in order to improve the lives of all citizens in the future.

Volunteers help non-profit organizations drive change. Your hours of service with TREA and Waste Free World will allow you to gain new skills and ensure the organization can continue to offer programs and build awareness about what necessary changes ordinary citizens can make to live more sustainably on the planet.

By creating your own “My Volunteer Page” you will gain access to available environmental volunteer opportunities. “My Volunteer Page” is perfect for High School students who wish to track their hours on the computer and get credit for their hours. It is also perfect for those wishing to add to their resume and to get acknowledgement of their voluntary contributions.
