In support of a Pesticide By-Law in London and the position taken by the Ontario College of Family Physicians to “strongly recommend that people reduce their exposure to pesticides wherever possible”, TREA has developed a new and interactive initiative to educate the London community about pesticide-free alternatives.

London’s Green Properties Gala being held throughout the month of September is a new and interactive event that will illustrate the success people have had managing their lawns and gardens without pesticides. The Gala, in essence is a tour of pesticide-free properties found throughout the London area.

You are invited to be part of this Gala! Simply register online or call the TREA office at 645-2845. Once registered you will receive a map of all the properties on the tour, testimonials to having a pesticide-free lawn and a guide to pesticide-free lawn and garden care.

After registration, pick any day you like and start the Gala. You can visit all of the properties or just the ones closest to your home; it’s all up to you. Bring the family, make a day of it, get new ideas, and find out that with very little maintenance your lawn cannot only be pesticide-free but dandelion-free as well.”
